



Filmon Ghebrihiwet
Chief Investment Officer
Filmon is a founding member of KAAF Investments, established in 2018 to manage proprietary capital on behalf of the Kanoo family. He brings nearly two decades of global investment experience across public and private markets. His background spans senior investment roles within a family office and earlier experience in professional services in Europe.
Filmon serves on the Investment Committee of The Kanoo Group UAE and on the boards of Enerwhere and Bayzat. Previously, he also held advisory and investment committee positions across a portfolio of healthcare, financial services, and diversified industrial businesses spanning the UAE, the United States, and East Africa.
He holds two master degrees from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands, and is currently completing Columbia Business School's Chief Investment Officer Program.


Nandi Vardhan Mehta
Chief Financial Officer
Nandi is the Chief Financial Officer and an Investment Committee Member at KAAF Investments. He oversees finance, tax, corporate affairs and treasury, ensuring financial discipline and governance across the firm’s global multi‑asset investment platform.
An Indian Chartered Accountant, Nandi has built his career in the Middle East over the last two decades. He began at KPMG in India and the UAE within their Assurance practice before moving into corporate finance leadership. He went on to serve as CFO of Freightworks, a joint venture involving Emirates Airline Group, for over nine years, and later as Group CFO of the Al Owais Family Office. Earlier, he gained hands‑on experience in his family’s retail and manufacturing businesses in India, which together employed over 5,000 people.
Nandi holds board and advisory positions across regional businesses and funds, including YBA Kanoo Holdings BSC in Bahrain, one of the largest independent family‑owned multinationals in the Middle East, and Elev8 Venture Partners, an India‑focused early‑growth venture capital fund. He is also a Governing Board member of Sapna, an India‑based NGO, and previously served as a Board Member and Audit Committee Member of Right Health, one of the UAE’s prominent primary healthcare providers. He remains active as an angel investor, speaker at industry forums, and Hindi poet.
