Mishal Kanoo

Mishal is a well known business figure in the Middle East and an avid speaker on family business, investments, governance, geopolitics and other relevant topics. He has a reputation as a futurist and strategist with a strong track record in forecasting economic developments in the region.
As Chairman of KAAF Investments, Mishal Kanoo tries to help people reach their professional dreams. Playing a role in bettering people’s lives is a great instigator for doing what he does. He is also the Chairman of The Kanoo Group, an independent family-owned conglomerate in the UAE.
Mishal holds a double major in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas (Houston), and a second MBA from the American University of Sharjah, where he later lectured on family business. He joined the Kanoo Group in 1991, became Deputy Chairman in 1997, and assumed the Chairmanship in 2015.

Maha Kanoo
Vice Chairwoman
Ms. Maha is a member of the Investment Committee at KAAF Investments and serves as the Director of the Kanoo Group. She oversees the group's business operations, financial performance, and investments.
Ms. Maha joined the Kanoo family business first in Bahrain and then moved to the UAE. Ms Maha previously served as General Manager for Administration, HR and Marketing, where she led the Group's Emiratisation programme.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Sweet Briar College, Virginia, and began her career at Citibank and the Royal Bank of Canada before joining the family business. Beyond corporate management, Maha is also a skilled artist—having completed several courses in Arts and holding her first exhibition of paintings in Dubai in 1993. She is also a certified diver, and enjoys the Japanese martial arts of Aikido.
